PRESENTATION OF THE CHECK
On Tuesday, March 23, we welcomed some special guests to our social. Our speakers for the evening were Mrs. Joannie Loebker president of the Executive Board of Pregnancy Center West and Mrs. Rachel Renner, soon to be the new Executive Director when Mrs. Jackie Carney retires in June. We learned that the Pregnancy Center West is a Christian pro-life ministry providing education regarding positive alternatives to abortion and offering assistance with pregnancy-related services. Chaste lifestyles are encouraged. Spritiual and emotional healing is fostered in those experiencing crisis or suffering from Post Abortion Syndrome. The Center seeks to affirm and maintain the dignity of all human life as created by God. It was incorporatd in 1981. Throughout the years, the Center has expanded its departments and volunteer base, depending exclusively on contributions and fund-raisers to support its operation. In conjunction with the fund-raisers and contributions, a generous check for $3,000 was presented by Dan Warnock and Mike Pfaffinger to Joannie and Rachel. This check was made possible through the hard work and dedication that you, our fellow Knights and Auxiliary exhibited during our fantastic pancake breakfast. What a team!! Thanks to everyone from organizing the breakfast, getting placemat adds, cooking, making the table decorations, cleaning up, whatever your job it was ALL important to the success.
